Envision Eyecare Marks JoeArchitect’s First Venture in Optical Office Design

Optical office design combines a unique combination of clinical and retail design. The space must function as a medical clinic while also displaying a wide range of eye-wear in a practical and artful way. For the design of her first office. Dr. Yumi Jeong, OD with Envision Eyecare looked to JoeArchitect for fresh design inspiration. Her goal was to create a clean modern facility that didn’t rely on the cookie cutter optical display cases provided by vendors. JoeArchitect was able to work with the doctor to design custom display units that showcase Envision’s wide selection of frames. The solution was a series of strategically lit floating shelves, in glass and walnut, that compliment the simple white display cabinets below.  This minimalist approach presents the frames in their best light by allowing the eye-wear to take to take center stage.
