2013: A Year In Review

2013 was a wonderful year for JoeArchitect. We had many wonderful projects, many exciting staff accomplishments, and many memorable experiences with our clients and friends. We are honored to share in the so many memories with you. Thank you for letting JoeArchitect be a part of your 2013!

JoeArchitect participated in a number of completed projects throughout the United States and Canada. We were honored to participate in so many projects close to home in the Denver area. We also enjoyed completing many projects up in Canada, including one of our smallest projects, Freeman Orthodontics, which ended up bringing a big impact with a Best Award by the IIDA. We also were honored to participate in the design of the Mountain West Dental Institute. This facility brings great opportunities to our region’s dental professionals with trainings and seminars.

2013 brought the world a little closer to home for our team. Our first true international opportunities came to us in 2013 and will continue into the new year. Our team is working with Dr. Olivia Peiretti-Paradisi on the design of her new 380 square meter orthodontic office (4,090 square feet) in Monaco. More recently, our team was selected to consult with Dr. Sanjivan Kandasamy on the interior planning of his new orthodontic office outside Perth, Australia. Our designers have enjoyed the challenges of different building practices across international borders.

We are truly fortunate to have such a passionate and creative group of people in our studio. Our team also celebrated with Christi Geiger as she completed her NCIDQ certification this year. Also, our entire office was honored by the IIDA (International Interior Design Association) Rocky Mountain Chapter on our second consecutive “Best Award” in the Healthcare category. We also celebrated with Danielle who won 2nd place in the Herman Miller Photo Contest for her shot of an Eames Molded Plastic Chair contrasted against a weathered wood backdrop. Also, early in 2013, the ADA (American Dental Association) released their new Practical Guide to Dental Office Design. Joe Miller was invited to author the chapter on interior design.

We are so thankful for the drive and passion each of our team has in their chosen profession and how they apply that to our clients’ projects.

Our JoeArchitect team celebrated many life events this year outside of the studio as well.  We celebrated with Felipe and his wife, Heather, as they celebrated their wedding this summer.  Christi Geiger’s family welcomed another little one into their family.  Joe Miller and his son, Louis, also completed a milestone 50 mile bike race with Pedaling For Parkinsons.
